We all need a little refreshing at this point in the work week. Yes- we are the Culinary Cousins, but No- food isn’t the only thing that inspires us. Here are a few things that made me smile today!
1. Azaleas are in full bloom here in SC, I cut these from my yard today and placed them in an heirloom blue jar from my grandmother. (LOVE hand-me-down things like that!)

2. Voluspa’s Bella Sucre Candle. It’s pretty, pink, and smells sweet but clean (not cloyingly sweet, like some).

3. Baby Strawberries have finally appeared in my garden! Yay! Not too much longer until berry season, can’t wait!

4. Mint & Mojitos & Iced Tea- yippee! Sorry, couldn’t resist. All three things scream summer is coming!! I couldn’t be more ecstatic! We went to the USVI last month: land of beautiful water, tropical rainforests, and cheap rum. Rum is literally cheaper than water. Seriously. Cheaper than water.

…so I grabbed a few mini-bottles, which were less than $1. We have mint growing in the herb garden, and I always have plentiful limes on hand…Mojito time! It’s so light and refreshing for warm weather!!

Organic mint from my garden- needs it’s own moment in the spotlight 🙂

Mojito Fixin’s…and my original recipe. Sorry, can’t give it away. This recipe is dangerously close to mine.
Think I’m going to go make some mint tea now…
